In early 2017, CamelBak released its latest item, a stainless steel tumbler called KickBak. The name KickBak is more than just encouragement to relax with a hot or cold beverage. One dollar from the purchase of each mug will be donated, or “kicked back,” to PeopleForBikes. “CamelBak was an idea born on a bike, so it only made sense that we create a special program to support our friends at PeopleForBikes,” says Jeremy Galten, Vice President of Product at CamelBak.

KickBak comes in a variety of colors, though our personal favorite is the one with the smiling bike logo. You can purchase one online through or use their “buy locally” tool to locate a retailer in your area. “KickBak has a dual-sided lid so you can easily enjoy a pre-ride cup of coffee through the smaller opening or a celebratory post-ride cold one through the larger opening,” explains Whitney Standring-Trueblood, the company’s PR and events manager. KickBak will keep cold beverages cold for up to eight hours and hot beverages hot for four, no matter the temperature outside.

In addition to developing new and innovative hydration products, CamelBak has made a name for itself as a company that gives back. “We feel very responsible for helping to better, grow and support the communities that we belong to,” Standring-Trueblood says, “our goal is for the bike community—and beyond—to come together and raise a KickBak in support of PeopleForBikes so others can experience the same joy in riding that the CamelBak family and our consumers know and love.”
